I have immense pleasure to introduce our Bank which has the distinction of having the highest Net worth among all the Regional Rural Banks in the country as on 31.03.2011. The bank is having Reserves & Surplus of Rs.797.41 crore with a total net owned fund of Rs.839.75 crore. Andhra Pragathi Grameena Bank came into existence on 01.06.2006, after amalgamation of erstwhile 3 RRBs – Rayalaseema Grameena Bank, Sree Anantha Grameena Bank and Pinakini Grameena Bank – all sponsored by the Public Sector Bank -Syndicate Bank – as per the Notification of the Government of India. The Bank is covering 5 districts i.e. Ananthapur, Kadapa, Kurnool, Nellore and Prakasam and serving the rural clientele in 1918 service area villages through 385 branches, 3 Extension Counters, 6 Regional Offices as on 31.03.2011. The Bank has a customer base of over 41.40 lakhs.

The Bank is a pioneer in rural lending in general and in micro finance in particular.  The Bank has won many accolades and awards from the NABARD, Government of Andhra Pradesh for its outstanding performance under Self Help Groups and Agricultural financing.  The Bank has proved its excellence by extending 426332 Pragathi Kisan Credit Cards to the farming community and also provided loans to 110738 Self Help Groups with an outstanding balance of Rs.915.08 crore . The Bank has been a pioneer in bringing the banking services to the doorsteps of majority of the households in the service area.   

The Bank has migrated 69 Branches to Core Banking Solution and the remaining 316 Branches will also be migrated to CBS before 30.09.2011. The Bank is making arrangements to issue DEBIT CARDS to its customers through VISA INTERNATIONAL as Associates of Syndicate Bank shortly.                          

The Bank has all kinds of products and services to meet the requirements of different customers.  The Bank is offering 0.75% extra interest on all Term deposits to Senior Citizens. The Bank also accepts NRE and FCNR(B) deposits in 32 designated branches. You will find a philosopher, guide, well-wisher in each of our staff member who extends prompt and courteous service.  The Bank is adopting technological initiatives on par with any other Bank.
